Traceability Gratitude

With all the stories and jokes about horse meat around at the moment it is good to know that it is possible to trace where the meat in your dinner has come from. With symbols like the Red Tractor and the Scotch Beef logo it is possible to be sure that it comes from credible, and even geographically protected sources. In the difficult economy that we are experiencing at present a good way to support local businesses is to look for, and insist that the food you buy carries symbols with these and other regional logos. This is especially important if you have young kids. You want to know that what you are feeding them is the best you can. So cooking from scratch with quality traceable ingredients, which can be cheaper than buying ready meals without ingredients you can trace to the farm; is the best way to do this. You can therefore be truly grateful for the creation and regulation of these logos. They enable you to trust what you are buying, and need not be expensive.
