As a father of two, and a distributor for Kleeneze and Utility Warehouse I understand the power of gratitude.
Personally life has been a bit rough over the last few years, but I have found that putting: "Gratitude in my Attitude", does a lot more than just getting me through the day.
I find that people warm to you, they want to work with you, help and support you. After all; "Manners maketh man", or so they say and manners cost nothing!
Rather than being a sign of weakness Gratitude is a sign of a strong character, who understands the input of others in their lives.
An example of the power of gratitude I got from Darren Hardys' book, The Compound Effect. In it he talks about how one Thanks Giving he decided to keep a journal of Gratitude. In this journal he wrote the things that his wife did each day that he appreciated and loved her for. After a year, when he gave her the book the following Thanks Giving, she cried saying it was the best present he had given her. Even better than the BMW he had given her earlier that year.
Over 1000 retailers in the UK understand the power of gratitude. As part of their marketing strategy they have teamed up with Utility Warehouse to give customers who use a Utility Warehouse cashback card in their store or online, a percentage of their spend off their monthly utility bills.
Hey we all like something for nothing right?
So anything that you can do to make life easier has to be good. Whether it is buying Kleeneze products to help make your daily chores easier, or earning an extra £200 a month delivering catalogues; or saving money on your electricity and phone bills by buying groceries and petrol.
The best thing to make life easier is by being grateful to those in your life.
In these harsh times saying; "Thank You" to those who help you, support you, teach you, or even just hold a door open for you: is really appreciated. Often in more ways than you could imagine.
In business saying thank you can mean the difference between getting an opportunity and being taken off the list of people who are going to asked to tender for the work.
I am grateful to Jim Rohn, Darren hardy, and Jack Black for their personal development teachings. Also however without Dave Notman and Brian Harwood I wouldn't have learnt what a great opportunity Kleeneze is. Likewise without Lee Treet, I would not have got to know about the amazing savings that can be made with Utility Warehouse.
Most of all I am grateful to my wife for getting me through this testing time.
