It is a truth univesral acknowledged, as they say, that when you are down it helps to look on the bright side. One of my favourite films is the Life of Brian. It is an absolute classic with a fabulous last song on this subject.
Gratitude for the things you have and things that people do for you can help you do as Perry Como advises "Accentuate the Positive, Eliminate the Negative, and don't mess with the person inbetween".
It is important to believe that there is light at the end of tunnel because as Jim Rohn says if you don't like your current situation, change it. By accentuating the good things people have done for you, you can analyse where you are and how you can change it.
You can use this to help customers or friends get over a challenge they have. They will thank you for it and keep doing business with you.
Alternatively you can use this to increase the business they do with you, by thanking them for what they do, ask them what they would like to change about how you interact with them and what do you do right. Then by thanking them for the feedback and accentuate the positive you are in a better place to know what they want and need.
Asking and acting on feedback, to the best of your abilities, not only retains and grows the business your customers do with you but gets them to accentuate the positive about you to others which is the best form of marketing you can get. It can also mean they pay you quicker.
Gratitude means a win win
