With Fathers day looming it is time to remember what they do for us. Apart from the obvious, they help in so many ways, whether it is just working in the garden or running the kids around. They keep the family running.
Mothers' day rightly is always marked in a big way, whilst less is made of fathers day. Mothers are key to the family but fathers have an importnat role to play too. When there is not a father figure present kids can struggle and the mother has to work twice as hard.
In this economy a lot of fathers' are staying at home either out of choice or because they are unable to find suitable work. If the latter is the case it can be really hard for them, as it can drain their confidence. Especially when in the UK it seems that one of the first questions you get asked when people meet you is: "What do you do?" When you answer:"I am looking after my kids", some people say nothing but think there must be something wrong with you or you are just lazy.
In this weekend when we are celebrating the Queens' Diamond Jubilee and marking a very historic moment. It is time to think of what can be done to thank fathers for their contribution to the smooth running of the family home.
One way might be to visit Cotton Traders, to get them something, since as with summer being here it is good to have good quality clothes to wear, and clothes last longer than chocolates.
