Grateful for paralympic inspiration

I am listening to Dolly Parton sing 9 to 5 as I write, so my fingers are literally dancing across the keyboard. Therefore apologies for any spelling mistakes. It is amazing how uplifting a tune can be. When things seem difficult and you feel the challenges you face are insurmountable; go on be brave give yourself one more push. After all that is what the fantastic paralympians have done. Whilst the able bodied olympians have shown how fabulous their dedication is, and they have inspired generations to get involved in sport. In this time of economic difficulty around the world, the inspiration, courage and sheer determination not to give up. Has to be an inspirtion to everyone. These athletes have worked even harder, if that is possible, than the able bodied olympians just to compete. Their self belief and can do attitude is immense. Yes they have great teams around them, as do all olympians, but we can all find someone to help us when we need it. It might not be the person that comes to mind at first, but help and support is there is you ask for it. After all some of the paralympians who have lost limbs due to fighting or bombs have found the encouragement they needed to go on; and look what they have achieved. I think that all paralympians deserve a medal just for getting to the games. That sounds patronising, and I don't mean it to be. Just like the able bodied olympians who get selected and compete, those who take part are deserving of our respect and admiration. Thank you to everyone involved in the olympics and paralympics for the inspiration and courage you have shown the world.
