You never know the day
I love the film Dead Poet's Society, and I have quoted from it a lot. In particular I believe in the phrase used in the film; Carpe Diem. By make the most of every day and sucking the marrow out of life (watching you don't choke on the pips) you are open to opportunity when it presents itself.
When you are in a job that doesn't fill you with enthusiasm this can be hard to do, but it is worth putting on a brave face and smiling. This makes people take notice of you and you never know when someone will remember that helpful smiling person who works at X, Y, or Z, and give you the opportunity of a life time. This could get you out of the rut you are in just by using a bit of positive thinking; and mean that your future explodes into life.
I have heard of people who were looking at radical changes in their life when an opportunity came out of the blue and stopped them in their tracks for the better. This meant they became successful beyond their wildest dreams.
Mindstore taught me to use both sides of my brain to analyse situations. Part of this is to have boardroom in my imagiary house on the left bank where I go to get advice from people I respect. One of the people I have in my board room is Richard Branson. He doesn't consider himself to be any luckier than anyone else. It is just that he is ready for, and took advantage of good luck when it came along.
You never know who will provide you with or when opportunity will strike, be ready to grab it when it is right for you. Stay positive and make the most of where you are. You might be amazed at the results.
