Advice gratitude
Sometimes in life you can get advice from surprising sources. It can be up to you whether you take it or not.
When you meet someone, and they tell you their story, it can be helpful to you in your life and stop you taking the wrong path before you take the first step. It can also help motivate you in the simple things in life, that might not seem worthwhile.
It is great when you can pass this onto someone else. Once again they might not thank you for it, but may later look back on it in an "Aha" moment.
It is very easy to judge a book by its cover, and form an opinion of someone by what other people say. It is worth taking the time to get to know the person yourself, before making a judgement. You can do this by telling them about your story and how you seek to improve your lot. In doing so you can give pointers as to how not to make the mistakes you made and avoid finding themselves in situations you would rather not have been in. The chances are they will take this onboard better than you telling them what you think based on assumptions.
They might then warm to you and respect you, because you took the time to find out about them, by lettig them know about you. They can thank you for your advice by using it, and applying it. When they make a success of their lives, they might remember who helped them get there.
