Gratitude for school hoidays
Well the school holidays are here, for some it is a great time to spend with your kids, if you are in the fortunate position to be able to provide the childcare fro them. If you in the position of many parents who both have to work, 8 weeks can be a challenging time.
This can be very inspiring for you and your kids thanks to people like Active Stirling who run sport summer camps. Then for those who aren't sporty there are camps run by organisations like the Scouts, Guides and Boys Brigade. These camps help your kids develop friendships and a level of independence. They also pick up skills they didn't know they had and learn things about life that can support the work they do during term time.
All of this makes them want to show you when they see you, what they have learned. This makes the time you have with them all the more special.
You have to bear this in mind when they are driving you up the wall, because they are eating you out of house and home, or refusing to eat what you have made for them.
This time is short in the greater scheme of things and precious. The relationship you develop with them now will stand you in good stead when they are older; and you need them.
