Grateful for Stress
This might sound like an oxymoron, just plain impossible and daft. Yet it could possibly help you control the stress in your life. Now I am no expert in the workings of the brain, but it is just that a thought occured to me when I was out walking the dog this morning.
We all have stress in our lives of some form or another and none of us like it. When you start a new job the first few weeks can be stressful as you get used to the new procedures, processes and expectations. Stress like this can keep you awake at night as if like me, you heap shovel fulls of self-doubt into your thinking, and the thoughts you have a night can often seem far worse than they really are.
So what if by being grateful for stress helped you control it. By this I mean look at the positive aspects of it. It can keep you alert to the dangers of not doing something, or not questioning something, and can make you create a plan to enable you to do everything you have to do so that it gets done.
I am not nieve, and so I do realise that there are things you can't control and since we all forget things, stress can be caused by us forgetting to do this or that. Still, if by being grateful for stress enables you to control it to some degree. Then you might feel better and sleep better.
Who knows you might even be more productive.
