Gratitude can get you out of where you are

I have had a difficult few years and am desperate to get myself out of the position I am in. I am extremely grateful for the support I have received from my wife, my family, my kids and my friends. However I feel that if I am wanting to change my life and reach my goals I have to do something about it for myself. I empathise with the winner of the X factor, James Arthur, when he visited the bedsit he had come from before auditioning for the show, and said he felt he would not get out of there. I am in that position now, but I am using gratitude to fuel my optimism and make my try things. After all as the book says you can achieve things by feeling the fear and doing it anyway. This fear can make you step forward and begin the journey, rather than being paralysed by fear and end up in depression, or worse. Be courageous and be prepared to make mistakes. A word to the wise though, take time to analyse the opportunities that come your way. Don't over analyse them otherwise you'll end up in paralysis by analysis and get no where. However as I said the other day I have made bad choices and some of my more recent ones have come about because I have been so desperate for change that I have become a sucker for online videos. So not being sucked in by these messages is going to be one of my New Year Resolutions. The New Year can help you review with gratitude the experiences you have had an start out on a new better road with a bright spring in your step as you look forward to a better future.
